After graduating from Temple University in Philadelphia, Jesse Wesley Vickers Williams began his career as a teacher and worked in education for several years before deciding to pursue his interest in acting.

 

Outside of his acting career, he is passionate about social justice and civil rights. He is actively involved in issues such as racism, police violence and equality and uses his fame to draw attention to social injustices.

 

Williams is also a successful model and has done campaigns for renowned brands such as Nike and Tommy Hilfiger. His charismatic appearance in front of the camera and his unmistakable style have made him a sought-after face in the fashion industry.

 

His breakthrough came in 2009 when he took on the role of Dr. Jackson Avery in the popular hospital series "Grey's Anatomy", in which he appeared in more than 250 episodes.

 

Over the years, Jesse Williams has expanded his repertoire and proven himself in other film and television projects. He has shown his versatility in dramas, comedies and even action films, each time proving his talent and captivating audiences with his on-screen presence.
