Sir Michael Caine, born Maurice Joseph Micklewhite Jr, looks back on a career spanning more than six decades. He officially retired in 2023 at the age of 90. 

 

His family lived in London during the Second World War and experienced the bombing of the city at first hand. Caine attended school near his home and showed an early interest in acting. After leaving school, he served in the British Army before beginning his acting career. He is known for his down-to-earth attitude and sense of humor. Despite his fame, he remains close to his roots and often talks about the challenges of his childhood. He is a passionate soccer fan and supports the English club Tottenham Hotspur. Golden Globe Awards:

He was nominated several times for a Golden Globe and also won this award.

Knight of the Order of the British Empire: In 2000, Michael Caine was knighted for his services to the theater.
