Sean Justin Penn began his career in the late 1970s and quickly gained recognition for his acting skills. As his parents were both actors, his interest in acting was sparked from an early age.

 

Away from the film industry, Sean Penn is also known for his political commitment. He is actively involved in various social and political issues, including human rights, environmental protection and humanitarian aid. He founded the J/P Haitian Relief Organization after the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010.

 

Sean Penn's breakthrough came with his role in the film "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (1982), in which he played the rebellious teenager Jeff Spicoli. His performance earned him praise from critics and audiences and established him as an up-and-coming star in Hollywood.

 

Penn's acting talent was also evident in films such as "The Falcon and the Snowman" (1985) and "Colors" (1988). Other well-known films in which he has appeared include "Dead Man Walking", "Carlito's Way" and "Into the Wild".

 

In addition to his work as an actor, Penn is also active as a director. He has directed films such as "The Crossing Guard" and "Into the Wild", the latter of which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Director.
