Victoria Ree Principal was born the eldest of three children and grew up in a military family. She moved frequently and spent much of her childhood in various countries, including England and Puerto Rico.
After graduating from South Dade Senior High School in Florida, Principal began her career as a model. She worked with renowned photographers and graced the covers of various magazines.
Parallel to her acting career, Principal also became involved in charitable causes and was particularly committed to animal welfare. She founded the Victoria Principal Foundation for Thoughtful Existence, which campaigns for the protection of animals and the promotion of a sustainable lifestyle.
Principal also founded her own company, Principal Secret, which manufactures and sells skincare products. The company became a huge success and made her a successful entrepreneur.
Her breakthrough came in 1978 when she took on the role of Pamela Barnes Ewing in the popular TV series "Dallas". Her portrayal of an ambitious and manipulative woman earned her great acclaim and made her an audience favorite. Principal remained part of the series until 1987 and later returned for guest appearances.
After leaving "Dallas", Principal concentrated on her work as an author. She published several books, including "The Body Principal" (1983), a bestseller about health and beauty, and "Living Principal" (2001), a book about personal growth and success.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Principal appeared in a number of television films and series. She appeared in films such as "Naked Lie" (1989), "Don't Touch My Daughter" (1991) and "River of Rage: The Taking of Maggie Keene" (1993). At the same time, she also appeared in several feature films. For example, she appeared in the thriller "The Abduction" (1996) alongside Dabney Coleman and Katie Wright.
